We communicate to our families through our daily living patterns in speaking the truth, sharing honestly and being faithful to what we have said. Our children watch us, listen to us and make life choices based on what we communicate.
Do we practice what we preach? Do we keep our commitments? Do we speak a love song with our words and by our actions to one another?
What our children see and hear will continue into adulthood. If they see and hear the truth spoken in love, honesty and faithfulness, then while growing up, they will be willing to be the same with you.
It's a blessing when your teenagers want to share their lives with you. And when they are young adults, those phone calls are precious as they continue to share their lives with you.
